Year round the variety of species in our waters provide us with some of the country’s most successful fishing excursions. St Francis Safaris offer customers a fishing experience geared to suit all levels of ability. Owner Tim Christy a Protea fisherman and record holder in many categories has fished these waters for over 30 years and has his finger on the pulse. His knowledge of the region’s best spots for targeting species such as Yellow tail, Garrick, Cape Salmon and Yellow Fin Tuna has proven to lure customers and celebrities such as Robson Green back year after year.
- HALF DAY DEEP SEA FISHING : Weather permitting excursions leave Port St Francis daily 7am till lunch time or 3pm to just after dark 5 hours on the water, all bait and quality tackle is supplied, and the trips are taken on one of our big, clean walk-around boat options.

- WHALE & DOLPHIN WATCHING : WHALE WATCHING CRUISE FROM JUNE – NOV – We are the only licensed operator in St Francis Bay. Jump on-board for a close encounter with the Humpback and or the Southern Rights Whales who pass us on the (W1) Whale highway. From our safe launch at Port St Francis, it is just a short boat ride out to see the Whales. We look for splashes, blows, and of course at their most playful full body breaches. We are the only licenced Whale watching operator in St Francis Bay able to offer close encounters with these magnificent creatures. Along the way there is a good chance of spotting our resident endangered Humpback dolphins along with a large pod of common dolphins who reside here year-round along with penguins, seals and a variety of other bird and marine life. Trips are 1.5 – 2 hours in length and are an absolute must do for anyone keen on an outstanding marine experience.
