OPERATING HOURS: every day from 09h00 through to 17h00 but last guest to be here at 16h00.
AGE LIMITS: 7 years and older. Oldest to date – 90.
RESTRICTIONS:
- No pregnant ladies-so sorry.
- Need to be able to walk a total of about 600 metres in all unassisted.
- No ziplining if there is lightning. 100kg weight limit for a comfortable of harness.
WEATHER: All weather activity-rain suits are provided if necessary
THE ADVENTURE: The zipline tour consisting of 8 slides is done in a harness fitted with a braking system and takes one back and forth across the Kruis River. The longest slide is 211 metres and average length is 100 metres for R650 per person. The tour takes a group of 10 about 90 minutes and 2 people about 40 minutes. The group is always accompanied by 2 guides. The slides take one over 3 waterfalls and down a gorge.
Own camera can be taken-alternatively you can purchase a CD with videos and photographs-costs depend on the group size. No limit to the number of people 1 or more Bookings are not essential-if you are a group of about 20 or more advisable to contact us before the time.
The riverbanks are full of indigenous trees including yellowwoods. The Sundew plant (Drosera) a variety of carnivorous plant can be seen. Birds are abundant and the elusive Knysna Loerie is seen quite often. Dassies (Rock Rabbits) are present. The scenery changes as you zip along is amazing and dominated by Witels Peak just 5 k to the north-east. Witels Peak is dominant in the Tsitsikamma mountain range that is to the north of us.
